​I am now into my second year having arrived at Mangerton Mill on 27th December 2024. Wow, where did that go? I have really enjoyed my first year here sharing my studio as the "Local Makers Shop & Gallery". The gallery/shop is now open for 2026. See times below:

In the meantime, if you are interested in any of my shop or gallery items please get in touch with me and we can arrange for you to visit. I still go to the studio to work there, so there is a possibility that I will be going on that day anyway. For those who have not visited yet, my workspace is at the back of the premises, but the front houses a wonderful shop and gallery full of local artists work. AND, its all for sale and at very reasonable prices! ​When I am open my signs are out, so don't forget to look out for these! Every month I try to change the Guest Artist on the wall. From now until May 20th, local acrylic painter David Brooke is displaying his imaginative, beautiful pictures. For more information about David please see my page on "Local Makers Shop/Gallery. Alongside this I display some of my own drawings and my original Relief Sculpted Landscapes. The whole range of artworks include: ceramics, metalwork, glass - including Strawglass art, fused and stained glass, and NOW jewellery, alongside the enamel mugs, placemats, coasters and quality prints of my original works. We even have a local author. A trip to Mangerton Mill is a very pleasant change from the town scene. There are local walks, a picture framers, a second craft shop and a cafe that opens at Easter time and even a hairdressers. Come and visit. It will be great to see you. About the artist joining me at The Colours of Light Exhibition
Lindsey J Cole is an inspirational painter using oils, acrylics and watercolours and also creating works in mixed media on a variety of subjects. She draws her inspiration from the natural world, the New Forest and surrounding coastline, responding to atmosphere and light. Her painting technique has a great energy and colour ensuring she creates realistic works of art with a beautiful flourish and vitality.
Katy Tunstall is a ceramicist creating decorative pieces in stoneware inspired by the landscape and natural environment of the Jurassic landscape. Using specific printing processes, she adapts these to decorate her work, often layering images to add an extra dimension of depth. She is inspired by, and her work often features, silhouettes of seed heads, winter trees and glimpses of birds in flight. The application of glazes and oxides in a painterly way aid in expressing the tapestry of subtle, earthy tones of the local fields and hills.
Gillian McCormick brings a forth dimension of medium to round up this colourful display of inspirational art. Her motivation was first stirred by techniques used in the Medieval period in the making of Stained Glass windows. Having studied these masterpieces she has developed her skills in painting, staining, acid etching and fusing. She now creates stunning colourful glasswork mainly of birds and British mammals.
